Taking up what could be considered a hidden spot on Apple Music’s featured carousel – this weekend, yet still accessible for those who wish to discover, the studio back catalogue of Detroit rocker Bob Seger is now available to stream.
Originally rising to fame through the formation of The Silver Bullet Band, who would step in on Seger’s solo performances on occasion, the heartland pop-rock legend’s hit Get Out of Denver from album Seven – recorded at Quadraphonic Studios, Nashville, would ultimately lay the foundation for what would later become not just regional -but national- phonographic success for Seger…before the release of 1976’s Night Moves would truly put him on the map.
Citing that the recording still stands as “a monument to the power of rock ‘n’ roll,” Apple notes that Night Moves specifically showed Seger at his most passionate and direct, revealing the past …whilst trying to cut loose in the present.
In addition to making the rock artist’s over 50-year catalogue available to stream by members, the Apple Music editors have also put together a collection of five playlists designed to introduce the Detroit native to those yet to discover …
Meanwhile, those who prefer that on-stage vibe will likely want to check out the collection’s two live albums: ‘Live’ Bullet and Nine Tonight (Live) – both of which have been digitally remastered and are now also available to stream, alongside Seger’s extensive back catalogue.
