#UpNext — A Documentary Series Highlighting Music’s Next Generation

Just announced by way of a video teaser posted to Instagram, Apple on Thursday unveiled a new documentary series centered on giving more background to music’s next generation.

Kicking off by profiling the people and places that made Ricardo Valdez Valentine – perhaps better known to Beats 1 listeners as 6LACK, the first instalment in the series –set to highlight a new artist each month– follows the Atlanta-grown rapper’s rise from the underground, as Apple describes Valentine’s sound as “late night, R&B-infected hip-hop.”

The video documentary, now streaming exclusively on Apple Music, runs for just under 10 minutes.
