Those who have been waiting for Apple’s TV Remote to show some love for the iPad … will likely want to check out the app’s latest version.
Updating alongside the public release of iOS 10.3, macOS 10.12.4, watchOS 3.2 + tvOS 10.2, (as well as brand new versions of Pages, Numbers and Keynote for iOS and Mac), earlier this week, Apple TV Remote 1.1 now takes full advantage of the iPad’s larger display canvas in order to allow for the wireless control (and navigation) of your Apple TV.
As well as adding full support for iPad, Apple is -with this version- also adding an enhanced “Now Playing” experience – which now displays both lyrics and playlists for music and chapters, in addition to introducing audio tracks and captions selection for both movies and TV shows.
Of course, it wouldn’t be an update without some general performance and stability improvements … so you’ll find a bunch of those in there – too.
