First conquering the iOS App Store, before later seeing its release on Android, the original (and addictive) Candy Crush is now moving onto its next target of choice: TV.
The new show revealed by CBS earlier this week will base itself around the concept of King’s highly-popular, candy-crushing adventure sagas, as it tasks up to two players to “use their wits and physical agility to compete on enormous, interactive game boards featuring next generation technology,” in an effort to conquer Candy Crush and be crowned the champions.

“That’s the kind of action that will be available to you on Sunday nights this summer,” Lawler notes.
Other details such as how Candy Crush‘s gameplay mechanic will actually play out in front of a live TV audience, or what specific technology will be used to facilitate the show’s concept – are not yet known, however.
Look out for it dropping – July 9.
