The company will reportedly mark the grand opening of its multi-billion dollar Apple Park campus with a special media event, focused on introducing several new sizes to its flagship tablet line-up.
Among those new additions is expected to be a 10.5-inch model, which -according to MacRumors – is likely to see its announcement within the next month, with DigiTimes citing that the new model may not hit shelves until either May or June.
While the Taiwanese site claims that the firm is planning to host the event at Apple Park, however, this seems somewhat unlikely given that during its press release announcing the new campus back in February, Apple noted that its newly built auditorium – to be known as the Steve Jobs Theatre, may not be ready for primetime until “later this year.”

The introduction of this new 10.5-inch model is expected to be joined by a new version of the company’s 12.9-inch iPad, otherwise known as the iPad Pro.
It is not yet clear if Apple’s rumoured event will give way to any other surprise announcements, although looking back at the company’s recent Spring-based media events suggests heavily that new iPads may not be all that Apple has in store …
