Apple’s Next Special Media Event Pegged for April 4 [REPORT]

With the Grand Opening of Apple’s brand new Cupertino campus fast approaching, speculation has this week turned to when exactly the company’s next special media event might be … and where it will eventually take place.

While it was initially thought to be planning its first-ever media event at the now rebranded Apple Park – in time for the introduction of the next iPhone this fall, Apple World Today (via 9to5Mac) now reports that the firm may instead be planning to host its debut event at the multi-billion dollar, curved-glass HQ – this Spring.

“Based on current availability dates for new orders, Apple World Today speculates that Apple could be planning its event for [April 4],” Hall says, adding that both new 9.7-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models, alongside a 10.5-inch display, are just a few of the announcements expected from the tech giant – next month.

It’s also important to note that Apple’s original content drive is set to kick-off in April.

Marking the first time that the company has ever released unscripted video content built especially for a Hollywood-worshipping audience, the spree of new original showsset to begin streaming to Apple Music members in just several weeks time, and which will see the likes of Carpool Karaoke and Planet of the Apps get their worldwide premieres on the service– are likely to account for just another of the company’s public announcements expected at the rumoured, all-glittering event … with Apple’s coined “ground-breaking” TV app (currently U.S only) perhaps also set to see its reach expand to international users – as a result.

The anticipated presser will reportedly take place at Apple’s new state-of-the-art and purpose built amphitheatre, to be known as the Steve Jobs Theatre – going forward, and is likely to start at the usual time of 10AM PT (6PM London).

Of course, while the above may be true, we’ll have to wait a few weeks for that official confirmation.

Usually speaking Apple sends out invites to an event of this nature to both members of the media, and the associated press, around 7-10 days before.
