The Apple-watching site having tested the company’s wireless earbuds for over a month, says that it would “highly recommend” the purchase to those potentially thinking about buying a pair.
The over 4-minute review specifically sees the publication detail both the overall setup and function of AirPods, as well as highlighting the sheer ease of Apple’s user interface when it comes to the wireless earbuds automatically pausing music upon being removed from the user’s ears, and the convenience of having direct access to Siri when out and about.
As for the points where the site felt Apple’s new earbuds could improve, the reviewer cites a ‘tinny’-sounding mic as being great for calls – but less so for online webcam interviews, and presumably, FaceTime.
Other areas for improvement include the AirPods ‘double tap’ function, which the site notes is ideal for activating Siri – or play or pausing music, but the separating out of these functions -or addition or new ones- in the future to be invoked with a double tap on either bud, could help to solve the reviewer’s “biggest gripe” about the product – which currently, is Siri’s lag time.
Apple’s AirPods are currently “sold out” on Apple.com and in-store until March…. (at the earliest), with several options to buy the earbuds still remaining on Amazon – as of writing.
